1 垂直安装在竖井中的电缆和光缆火焰传播高度用试验 - 摘要

This is a fire test for determining values of flame propagation height for electrical and optical-fiber cables that are for installation vertically in shafts or in vertical runs that penetrate more than one floor. The purpose of this test is to determine whether the flame propagation characteristics of these "riser" cables are in accordance with the National Electrical Code. This test does not investigate the toxicity or corrosivity of the products of combustion or decomposition. This test does not cover the construction requirements for any cable or the electrical, optical, and other performance requirements for any cable.

3 绝缘材料制品.总则 - 摘要

These requirements cover test procedures to be used in the evaluation of Class 120(E) or higher electrical insulation systems intended for connection to branch circuits rated 600 volts or less. These requirements also cover the investigation of the substitution of minor components of insulation in a previously evaluated insulation system and also the test procedures to be used in the evaluation of magnet wire coatings, magnet wires, and varnishes. These requirements do not cover a single insulating material or a simple combination of materials, such as a laminate or a varnished cloth, printed circuit boards, or planar transformers. These requirements do not cover insulation systems exposed to radiation or operating in oils, refrigerants, soaps, or other media that potentially degrade insulating materials. These requirements shall be modified or supplemented as determined by the applicable requirements in the end-product standard covering the device, appliance, or equipment in which the insulation system is used.

These requirements cover electrical metallic tubing - steel (EMT) and elbows for use as a metal raceway for installation of wires and cables in accordance with CSA C22.1, Canadian Electrical Code, Part 1, and NFPA 70, National Electrical Code (see Reference Item No. 1, Annex a). EMT is provided with a zinc, zinc-based, nonmetallic, or other alternate corrosion-resistant exterior coating and an organic or zinc interior coating. It is the users' responsibility to determine the appropriate product for their application. Aluminum electrical metallic tubing is covered by the standards listed in Reference Item No. 2, Annex a.

1.1 These requirements cover 14 – 4/0 AWG single-conductor PVC-insulated and -jacketed undergroundfeeder and branch-circuit cable and flat multiple-conductor PVC-jacketed underground feeder andbranch-circuit cables containing two or three 14 – 6 AWG PVC-insulated circuit conductors with or without a grounding conductor. These Type UF cables are intended for use in accordance with Article 340 and other applicable parts of the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA-70 in wiring systems operating at a potential of 600 V or less. Submersible water-pump cables and multiple-conductor assemblies to which a type-letter designation is not assigned are also covered in these requirements.1.2 Multiple-conductor cable that is marked "UF-B"has a 75°C (167°F) jacket and conductors withinsulation of 90°C (194°F) dry and at least 60°C (140°F) wet locations. Multiple-conductor cable that is marked "UF" has a 60°C (140°F) jacket and conductors with insulation for 60°C (140°F) dry and wet locations. Single-conductor cable is marked "UF" and has an integral insulation and jacket for 60°C (140°F) dry and wet locations. The ampacity of all cables covered in these requirements is that of 60°C (140°F) conductors.1.3 These requirements do not cover insulation other than PVC, round cables containing two or morecircuit conductors, flat cables containing more than three circuit conductors, or multiple-conductor cables containing circuit conductors larger than 6 AWG.

ERMC-S is provided with a zinc, zinc-based, nonmetallic, or other alternate corrosion-resistant exterior coating and an organic or zinc interior coating. It is the user's responsibility to determine the appropriate product for their application. Non-ferrous or stainless steel conduit is covered by the standards listed in Reference Item No. 2, Annex a.
